Removable Sternum Strap

Description:
This is the same sternum strap that comes standard on all our packs. It is removable, so you can take it off when you don't need it or want to save some weight. Its made with black 3/4" webbing and has a quick release buckle with a emergency whistle integrated into that buckle. The strap has elastic sewn into one end so that it will expand with your chest as you breath, but will still hold the shoulder straps secure and keep them from sliding off your shoulders.
The strap will work for any pack that has 3/4" webbing running the length of the lower part of the shoulder strap. You can order this as a replacement for your MountainAbout pack if you've lost it, or as a complete strap for the do-it-yourselfer making your own pack. It is long enough that it will fit even the most broad of chests.

3/4" webbing with 3/4" elastic.
3/4" quick release buckle with integrated emergency whistle.
